Digitalprämie Berlin – funding scheme for digitising company processes and IT security
In order to advance the digitization of the working world, the state of Berlin grants unbureaucratic financial benefits in the form of a digital bonus. The funding is available to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and self-employed people who work full-time in Berlin.

What does the Digitalprämie Berlin cover?
The Digitalprämie provides support in the following areas:
- Digital transformation of work, production and management processes
e.g. introducing CAM & digital ERP systems, digital ERP systems, digital cash register systems,
3D printing systems, management information systems, digital payroll
- Introducing or improving company IT security
e.g. IT security infrastructure, digital data storage and back-up, digital protection for business premises or penetration test
on IT systems and certification
- Digital consulting and qualification
e.g. advice and support during implementation, workshops on digitising the business model, further training on
corporate IT security or Data Scientist training
Applicants can combine up to 10 individual options from the eligible areas of funding.
Target group for the Digitalprämie Berlin funding scheme
Digitisation is a challenge for companies, especially in terms of finance. This offer is aimed at:
- small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Berlin; and
- full-time Berlin freelancers (no employees):
with income per year from their current activity of at least €26,000; - established before 31/12/2021.
How much are the grants?
The "Digitalprämie Berlin" is a non-repayable grant. In order to create an incentive for using the funds for the internal digital transformation as efficiently as possible, a proportion of 50% is financed. The maximum funding amount is EUR 17,000.
